Detailed specification clauses for products are available on the Masterspec website under APL Window Solutions.

Masterspec serves the New Zealand construction industry with a pre-formatted, up-to-date database of specification clauses, using an online interface to structure, edit, add support documentation and output to multiple formats.

Climate Zones and H1 Requirements

At the end of 2022, we moved from 3 climate zones to 6 to allow a more nuanced approach to climatic factors and window suitability. The zones are numbered from Zone 1 being the warmest climate, to Zone 6 in the coolest climate areas (as indicated on the map). All zones are now required to achieve a minimum R-Value (R0.46 for Zone 1-4, R0.50 for Zone 5-6).

Which products should be used?

Wherever you are in New Zealand, your project will exceed the Building Code requirements when you choose ThermalHeart+^®, or Klima^{^®} uPVC joinery with The AGP System^®.

Everything we manufacture is designed and tested in the Waikato specifically for New Zealand's unique landscape, weather and aesthetics. Our aluminium is extruded and surface finished in Hamilton. It’s then distributed nationwide to our independently owned manufacturers who fabricate and install the windows and doors into kiwi homes.
