APL DIRECTAPL maintains its own transport division, called APL Direct.
With a fleet of nine trucks based at its Hamilton complex, APL Direct delivers aluminium extrusions to its country-wide network of joinery fabricators. The decision to operate its own fleet rather than use third-party carriers arose from APL 's desire to optimise service levels and minimise loading and unloading.
In addition to its large warehouse complex at head office in Hamilton , APL has a South Island warehouse in Christchurch.
