INEX

INEX (Independent Extrusions) is the largest extruder of aluminium in New Zealand and is an associated company sited next to APL in Hamilton. It exclusively supplies Altherm, First and Vantage extrusions.

INEX has two extrusion presses and is the only plant in Australasia to recycle its scrap directly with an aluminium smelter, in this case NZAS, at Bluff.

All reusable components are also recycled - timber dunnage, case timber and steel strapping. There is an ongoing capital investment programme to improve energy efficiency as well as regular energy audits.
